Just when fans of the After franchise thought they'd have to say goodbye to Tessa and Hardin, actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin gifted them with quite the surprise.
In a video posted on the film's official Instagram account, the actor who plays Hardin Scott announced a surprise fifth movie.
"We have just wrapped filming on the fifth After movie!" he announced. "I can't tell you too much about it just yet, but I can tell you that it will be called After Everything.

The franchise's fourth movie, After Ever Happy, which is scheduled to be released in the US on September 7, was thought to be the finale to Tessa and Hardin's tumultuous love story.
It was also a logical conclusion as the movies faithfully follow the best-selling books written by Anna Todd, and the fourth and final book in the series is also titled After Ever Happy.
A fifth book also exists, titled Before, but it is a prequel novella.
However, there were some hints already that this might not have been the end. After Ever Happy has already been released in some European cinemas, and many noticed it ended with a 'to be continued' sign, hinting at a possibility of more After content in the future, which Fiennes Tiffin has now confirmed.

And it seems fans were not ready to say goodbye either. The Instagram post's comments section was quickly flooded with people tagging friends and leaving excited messages.
"It's so hard to believe this was kept a secret!" wrote one. "You have no idea how happy this makes all of us."
"I'm not ok😭😭😭 omg the best thing i saw today!!🥺♥️♥️♥️ #aftereverything OMG!"
"I cried sfm thinking that this would be the last movie :')" added another.
"I was in the cinema and I saw the end "to be continued" and I literally screamed through the whole room! I just about slid off my chair, I am so happy the story isn't finished yet❤️"
After Ever Happy is released in the US on September 7. It will be released on Prime Video in the UK in September, but there isn't a specific release date yet.
