The upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Madame Web has added another star to its already stacked roster, with The Flight Attendant's Zosia Mamet inking a deal to star in the movie.

Madame Web follows Dakota Johnson as the titular character, a clairvoyant who possesses psychic powers that allow her to see within the spider world.

Via Deadline, Mamet joins an ensemble cast led by Johnson. Other actors include Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, Celeste O'Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, and Adam Scott.

It is unclear who any of them are playing and it is the same with Mamet – we'll have to wait for further news for character information.

Mamet is known for her role as Annie Mouradian in The Flight Attendant, but has also starred in TV shows including Girls and Mad Men.

Madame Web is Sony's next movie in their Spider-Man Universe franchise, a series of movies it is developing outside of Marvel Studios' MCU. It is their first movie to be focused around a female protagonist and follows other Spider-Man Universe movies recently released, such as Venom, Vemon: Let There Be Carnage, and Morbius.

Several more Spider-Man Universe movies are in various stages of development. Aaron Taylor-Johnson will star as classic Spider-Man villain Kraven in Kraven the Hunter, Bad Bunny will star in El Muerto, a wrestler with superhuman strength, and a third Venom movie is currently in the works.

Projects surrounding The Sinister Six and Spider-Woman have also long been discussed and rumoured.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if any of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, or Tobey Maguire will be reprising their roles as Peter Parker after their appearances in the MCU movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, a fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland has been rumoured.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to buy now on Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and other digital retailers.
