Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is set to star in a new horror movie.
According to Deadline, the actor will feature in horror comedy Hell of a Summer, alongside Wynonna Earp's Billy Bryk.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is based on an original script by Wolfhard and Bryk – who are also co-directing together.

The two will star in the film alongside Fred Hechinger (The White Lotus).
"I am so excited to be co-directing my first feature film," Wolfhard said in a statement. "I get the chance to work with an incredible cast and crew, and to work with a company like 30West and Aggregate is a real dream."

Wolfhard – best known for playing Mike Wheeler on Netflix series Stranger Things – and Bryk previously appeared in Ghostbusters: Afterlife together.

Later this year, Wolfhard will be appearing opposite Julianne Moore in When You Finish Saving the World, which serves as Jesse Eisenberg's directorial debut. Wolfhard plays Ziggy, the teenage son of Moore's character Evelyn.
Meanwhile, Stranger Things earned an impressive amount of Emmy nominations on Tuesday, with 13 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series plus nods in the Prosthetic Makeup, Music Supervision, Production Design, Visual Effects and Editing categories.

But some fans were disappointed that stars like Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink were "snubbed" for the acting categories.
Now that season 4 is over, attention has turned towards the fifth and final season. And it sounds like the final ever episode will again be "at least two hours" long.
"I don't know that it's going to be going 100 miles an hour at the start of [season] 5, but it's going to be moving pretty fast," co-creator Matt Duffer added.
Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
