Reacher star Harvey Guillén has been cast in a new comedy alongside Dallas Roberts and Arden Myrin to start production this summer in Minnesota.
According to Deadline, Road Dogs was written by Vanessa Leigh and Aaron W Bennett and based on Bennett's time as an improv comic and comedy club owner in central Washington. Leigh will also be directing.
The movie follows our three stand-up comedians after they hit the road for a simple weekend showcase. Soon, they find their plans derailed by a crooked club owner and her homicidal bouncer.

Myrin announced the news on her Instagram alongside the caption: "So excited to do this movie with my pal Dallas Roberts and the hilarious @harveyguillen!! Let's goooooo!"
Guillén, who is known for his role as Guillermo de la Cruz in What We Do in the Shadows, is also working on the new Worlds of DC movie Blue Beetle.

The movie follows Jaime, an ordinary teenager with no connections to the superhero world and before he gains his powers discovers the Blue Beetle scarab while on his way home from school with his friends.

He takes the scarab home and that night, it comes alive and grafts itself to the base of Jaime's spine, providing him with a suit of extraterrestrial, modifiable armour. Details of Guillén's role are currently being kept under wraps.
After the dramatic season one finale of Reacher, Guillén's character Jasper is not a guaranteed return for season two so only time will tell if he is set to return to the successful Prime show.
