NCIS actress Katrina Law has landed a lead role in an upcoming horror movie, playing a geneticist tackling widespread lycanthropy.
According to Deadline, Law and Marvel's Frank Grillo (he played Crossbones across three MCU blockbusters) have signed on for Year 2, a horror from director Steven C Miller who previously directed 2019 action-thriller Line of Duty.
It comes from the mind of writer Matthew Kennedy, who gave us 2020's Inheritance, and is set to go into production later this month.

"One year ago, a supermoon event caused a latent gene to turn everyone exposed to the moonlight into a werewolf for one night. Millions died – and now, the supermoon is back," reads a synopsis.
Law – also known for her roles as Nyssa al Ghul in Arrow and Quinn Liu in Hawaii Five-0 – is onboard as Dr Amy Chen here, who embarks on a perilous journey with Grillo's character to save their loved ones against a ticking clock.
Let's hope they're carrying some silver bullets.

Elsewhere on the hairy beast front, Marvel's Disney+ Halloween special Werewolf by Night is now shooting, with Gael García Bernal (Old) and Laura Donnelly (The Nevers) headlining the cast.
Donnelly is rumoured to be bringing the role Nina Price aka Vampire by Night to life.
As Nina is the niece of Jack Russell, this has led to speculation that Bernal is set to play Jack Russell himself, a Marvel Comics character dating all the way back to 1972 who happens to be a descendant of the original wolfman Grigori Russoff.
Jack inherits the curse aged 18, though instead of exclusively clawing people's faces off, Jack uses his powers for good by teaming up with Moon Knight and Frankenstein against HYDRA and the Satanic Brotherhood.
NCIS airs on CBS in the US. Season 19 is available to watch on Disney+ in the UK.
