Amazon Studios has acquired Anthony Mackie and Priyanka Chopra action-adventure Ending Things.
Written by Kevin Sullivan, the story sees Chopra (The Matrix Resurrections) star as a hitwoman who is attempting to leave her life as an assassin behind (via Deadline). But in order to do so, she must also sever ties with her professional and personal partner, portrayed by Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier).
But in a twist of fate, the assassins and lovers are thrust into one final mission to try and save their lives and maybe even their relationship too.

The new movie, reportedly inspired by James Cameron's 1994 action-comedy True Lies, is a collaborative project between Davis Entertainment, Lit Entertainment, Inspire Entertainment and Mackie's own company Make It With Gravy Productions. And Chopra will serve as exec producer through her Purple Pebble Pictures banner.
In January this year, Mackie announced his upcoming directorial debut with Civil Rights drama Spark, which follows Saniyya Sidney (King Richard) as Claudette Colvin – a pioneering figure in the movement.
Last year, the actor was also confirmed to return as Captain America in the fourth film about the Marvel superhero following his Disney+ series. He also provided an update on the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

In a recent interview with Laverne Cox for E! News during the Grammy Awards 2022, Mackie revealed the new Black Panther movie is currently "in the can".
"I'm very excited to say that they just wrapped filming Black Panther 2," he teased. "It's gonna be amazing, it's gonna be spectacular."
Meanwhile, Chopra, who played Sati in the fourth Matrix instalment, has wrapped the romantic comedy Text For You alongside Sam Heughan. Production has also finished on her new limited series Citadel for Amazon, which also stars Richard Madden.
The series is the latest project from the Russo Brothers' production company AGBO.
