Black Panther and The Matrix stars are teaming up for a brand new thriller based off a New York Times article.
As revealed in The Hollywood Reporter, Michael B Jordan and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II are working together on I Helped Destroy People, based on a piece published last year about FBI agent Terry Albury.
The only Black agent in his bureau, Albury was tasked with infiltrating Muslim communities following 9/11, but grew disillusioned with what he perceived as the FBI's violations of its own domestic terrorism rules, and the War on Terror in general.

He began leaking documents in an attempt to highlight a system that he perceived abused innocent people, usually people of colour, under the pretence of public protection, before being arrested and spending four years in prison.
Abdul-Mateen II will be starring in the film, as well as producing through his company House Eleven10, while Jordan is producing through his company Outlier Society. Hand of God creator Ben Watkins is writing the script.

Abdul-Mateen II has also been busy filming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The superhero sequel has him returning as Black Manta, in a bigger role this time around.
"I think the script is better than it was in the first one. It gives the actors a lot of good storytelling moments," he previously said. "In Aquaman, we just got a small introduction to Black Manta and to some of his motivations. In this one, I get to exercise and breathe a little bit more. I'm showing some different colours with this one."
A release date for I Helped Destroy People is yet to be announced.
