Teen Wolf movie brings back more original stars

The Teen Wolf revival movie has welcomed more of its original stars to the ensemble cast.

Ian Bohen will reprise his role as Peter Hale and Nobi Nakanishi, who appeared in two episodes of season 3 of the original series, will return in a different role as Deputy Ishida.

Khylin Rhambo will return to play Mason Hewitt, Amy Lin Workman will play Hikari Zhang and Vince Mattis will portray Eli Hale, Derek's 15-year-old son.

The five recently cast actors will join previously announced stars Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, JR Bourne, Colton Haynes, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Ponzio, and Dylan Sprayberry.

The official synopsis reads: "A full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night.

The movie sequel to MTV's supernatural teen drama, is currently in production at Paramount+, confirmed by behind-the-scenes snaps of its lead actor (who plays Scott McCall) on set, which the streamer shared last week (21 March).

While the movie spin-off will see the return of many original stars, it was announced last year announced that Dylan O'Brien won't return as Scott's childhood best friend Stiles Stilinski.

O'Brien, who addressed his absence from the upcoming movie earlier this month, said it was something he was "trying to make work, but it all happened very fast."

He added: "Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. I wish them well and I'm going to watch it the first night it comes out."
