Shadowhunters' Katherine McNamara is set to appear opposite Mickey Rourke in the new action flick Jade.
Her casting was confirmed by Deadline this week, with Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum), Shaina West (Black Widow) and Marcus Vincios Maciel (iZombie) also onboard for debutant director James Bamford's project.
The story follows West's titular character, who's sworn to never pick up arms again following the accidental death of her brother.

However, when she unknowingly comes between powerful businessman Tork (Rourke) and her former gang leader (Maciel) in their search for a valuable hard drive, which has the power to single-handedly take down Interpol, she may have no choice.
Jade's particular set of skills – hello Taken lovers – are put to the test as she must protect not only herself, or the precious cargo she holds, but also her late brother's pregnant ex Layla (McNamara).
Dacascos plays Reese, one of Jade's old pals working for Interpol, while the cameras are ready to shoot in Breaking Bad terrain, Albuquerque.

It's been a fruitful few days for McNamara, as it was recently announced that she'd landed the lead role in a pilot for western prequel series Walker: Independence.
Reacting to this exciting news on social media, the Arrow actress tweeted: "A girl walks into a western – there's a new Walker in town. Thrilled to saddle up w @larryteng & the amazing team for an epic journey.
"Honored to be handed the reigns of the #WALKER legacy w #MattBarr . Pass the whisky y'all & let's ride this trail together! #WalkerIndependence."
