The Dark Knight Rises screenwriter Jonathan Nolan has said that he won't be tempted back to the Batman franchise.
Nolan, who penned the story for the upcoming blockbuster with brother Christopher Nolan and David Goyer, told Digital Spy that he feels "privileged" to have worked on three movies about the Caped Crusader.
Asked if he is going to follow brother Christopher and depart the franchise completely, Nolan replied: "Yeah, we're done, we're moving on. As much as I've loved working on these characters and it's been a great privilege.
"Batman was really the only comic book character that I had any affection for. So it's been a remarkable coincidence and privilege. I grew up reading the Batman comic books in the '80s.
"We were just aware, very cautious, of all of the writers and artists. And the other things is we're very lucky to have been able to tell a complete story, and move on."

Nolan admitted that he shares the fans' enthusiasm about the upcoming superhero blockbuster, which debuts in cinemas this Friday (July 20).
"It is extremely exciting. Nothing beats the moment when you first sit down with a real audience, with people who have actually paid money to watch the film," he said.
"We watched Batman Begins' opening night with the crowd and it was an experience unlike anything else I'd experienced before or since."
Christopher Nolan has insisted that he won't have any involvement in further Batman instalments or oversee the proposed Justice League movie.
