House of Gucci spoilers follow.
Though first reactions to the film were mixed, it was clear that Lady Gaga was a stand-out in the Ridley Scott-led biopic House of Gucci, telling the (true) story of the relationship between Maurizio and his wife Patrizia Gucci.
Gaga plays Patrizia, who is later accused and convicted for hiring a contract killer to murder her husband.

Speaking at the BAFTA Awards Film Sessions with Leading Actress nominees, Gaga said: "There was a scene in the film that I was so grateful to Ridley [Scott] for – this series of moments that we shot, and it's after Maurizio Gucci is murdered and I'm entering the house, there's paparazzi all outside, and I actually did a lot of sense memory work that date back to the deepest trauma in my life, in the car.
"As the car pulled up, I was doing this sense memory work. They yell 'action', I get out of the car. And I had made the decision not to take my daughter's hand as I was walking through the cameras, to go into the house that we used to live in together."
Gaga explained that she wanted that improvised moment to show that Patrizia was "paralysed" and would "walk in with no sense of her motherhood in that moment".

She expressed her gratitude to director Ridley Scott for allowing her to make certain choices about her character, which she says "empowered me to make complicated female choices".
The singer recently revealed that she was hoping for a Director's Cut of House of Gucci to be released, as it would show a physical, sexual relationship between her character and Salma Hayek's character as Pina the psychic.
House of Gucci is in cinemas now, and also available to pre-order on DVD and Blu-ray.
