Spider-Man spinoff Kraven the Hunter is right in the thick of pre-production, adding another cast member to the line-up.
Fred Hechinger, who is currently on screens starring in the Disney+ series Pam & Tommy as pornographer Seth Warshavsky, is rumoured to be playing the character of Chameleon – the brother of the title character – on the Sony Pictures spin-off, Deadline reports.
Chameleon is one of Spidey's toughest opponents, boasting the ability to change his appearance at will. The character first debuted all the way back in 1963's The Amazing Spider-Man No 1, so there is plenty of source material to pull from.

The character of Kraven is one of Sony Pictures' crop of Marvel characters who is an iconic villain, having faced Spider-Man, Venom and Black Panther among others, so is an ideal one to include in this multiverse between the two franchises.
Avengers star Aaron Taylor-Johnson is switching over from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe to play Kraven, and Russell Crowe will also be starring in an unnamed role.
Kraven the Hunter is one of a many of Spider-Man spinoffs currently in development at Sony, with the Jared Leto starring Morbius, due out next month.

It will see Morbius face off against childhood friend Loxias Crown/Hunger (played by Matt Smith) after the latter discovers the solution to the rare blood disorder the titular character battled, which gave him vampire-like superpowers.
The studio is also developing a Madame Web spinoff movie with Dakota Johnson set to star.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. Spider-Man: No Way Home is out now in UK and US cinemas. Kraven the Hunter will be released in cinemas on January 13, 2023.
