Javicia Leslie has landed a new role in the upcoming rom-com Something from Tiffany's.

The Batwoman actress will appear alongside a growing cast including Zoey Deutch (Zombieland: Double Tap) in the film, which follows a woman whose life takes a different turn when an engagement ring meant for someone else leads her to the person she's destined for.

According to Deadline, the Amazon Studios movie has also signed on Jojo T Gibbs (Fresh), Chido Nwokocha (Destroyer), Stephanie Shepherd (Dave) and Michael Roark (Bennett's War).

Leslie is of course best known for playing the titular character in Batwoman – or Ryan Wilder – stepping into the newly created role after Ruby Rose's exit as Kate Kane after one season.

Last year, Digital Spy spoke to Leslie about her groundbreaking superhero role, with the star explaining: "Before Ryan, everyone that wore the Batsuit came from prestige and money.

"So maybe people that were watching the show never really connected and felt they could be a hero like Ryan. Seeing her come from the bottom and become a hero in Gotham now allows people to see that they can be a hero as well."

Something from Tiffany's will stream on Amazon Prime Video, with a release date yet to be confirmed. Batwoman airs on The CW in the US and E4 in the UK.
