Encanto's enormous success has been addressed by Mirabel Madrigal herself Stephanie Beatriz.
The new animated Disney release scored a major triumph last month when 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' became the first-ever House of Mouse song to reach Number 1 on the UK Official Chart.
Sitting down for an exclusive chat with Digital Spy to promote Catwoman: Hunted, Beatriz couldn't contain her thrill over how Encanto has been received.

"It's just really exciting that so many people have access to what we've made. That's the coolest of all – people all over the world can see this thing that you've done. While we had her, the inevitable topic of a sequel reared its head too, to which she responded: "We're all just sort of enjoying the moment, and enjoying how much people love what we've done."
The movie itself follows a Colombian family blessed with magical gifts – except Beatriz's Mirabel – that help them serve the residents of their rural community known as 'the Encanto'.
When the powerless youngster discovers that her family's magic is on the wane, she sets out to save them.
Encanto is streaming now on Disney+.
