The MCU might be done with Black Widow, but Scarlett Johansson is not done with the MCU.

Despite her character dying in Avengers: Endgame and receiving her solo outing this year, the actress is set to return for another superpowered venture.

Speaking during Thursday night's American Cinematheque Award ceremony honouring Johansson's career achievements (via Entertainment Weekly), Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced she is working on a new secret project with the studio as a producer.

"We are already working with Scarlett on another non-Black Widow related top-secret Marvel Studios project with her as a producer," Feige said from the stage of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

"Scarlett is one of the most talented, versatile, and beloved actors of our time," he continued. "It has truly been a pleasure to work with someone of her caliber, from the epic training sessions preparing for the hallway fight in Iron Man 2 to the around-the-world press tour for Avengers: Endgame to partnering with you as a producer on Black Widow.

"Working with you, Scarlett, has truly been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of my career."

Mentioning how Johansson was the first Marvel actor to produce their own movie with Black Widow, he explained how: "From our very first few meetings, it was clear she had a vision for this movie, how to tell this story."

This comes after Johansson and Marvel resolved the lawsuit the actress filed against the studio over the Black Widow release, claiming Disney breached her contract by distributing the movie in cinemas and on the Disney+ streaming platform simultaneously.

Johnsson already teased a continued collaboration with Marvel in a statement in September, saying how she was looking forward to "continuing our collaboration in years to come".

The actress was also previously announced to be taking part in the production of Disney's upcoming Tower of Terror movie, based on the ride of the same name.

As for what Marvel project she will be working on, we can only speculate at this point, but Feige's note on how Johansson's character paved the way for other prominent female superheroes might give us an early clue.

Black Widow is now streaming on Disney+.
