Marvel stars reprise roles in unexpected way for Disney

Avengers 5 remains but a twinkle in Marvel's eye, but the stars of Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and Falcon and the Winter Solider are set to reunite for a brand new Disney project.

As Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues, Disney Cruise Line has gathered together some of the MCU's biggest heroes for an exciting and "epic" adventure aboard the Disney Wish.

As part of an upcoming experience on a Disney cruise, Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Anthony Mackie have all lent their talents and superhero expertise to a mission titled Avengers: Quantum Encounter.

Billed as Disney Cruise Line and Worlds of Marvel's "most ambitious dining experience ever" by Disney Parks Blog, Quantum Encounter will offer passengers the chance to take part in a "real-life Avengers mission".

"The show will follow Ant-Man and The Wasp as they host a presentation of the most powerful Super Hero technologies in the world, including a hands-on demonstration of the latest and greatest Pym Tech," the announcement explains.

"But when Ultron turns up with an army of robot sentries eager to take control of this world-changing technology, Ant-Man and The Wasp will need all the help they can get to save the day – calling on Captain America, Captain Marvel, and even the brave diners of the Disney Wish for back-up."

As well as teasing an additional, mystery superhero, Disney Parks Blog explained how the Quantum Encounter will come to life, with the ship's restaurant featuring "immersive cinematic technology".

With filming for the Marvel stars' latest adventure now complete, all that's left for Disney to do is work on "post-production editing and [special] effects" – and for us, buy a ticket.
