Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson are on top of the world at the moment following the success of The Flight Attendant and The Suicide Squad.

So, fans are naturally delighted that they are teaming up for new romantic comedy Meet Cute, which was unveiled earlier this year.

We now have a first official look at the movie, as their characters Sheila and Gary walk along a boardwalk looking rather jolly in a snap the former The Big Bang Theory star shared to her Instagram account.

Cuoco captioned the image: "Sheila & Gary coming soon #meetcute."

The actress also shared an image of her and her co-star embracing as they look at the New York City skyline, confirming that filming had wrapped.

"That's a wrap on Meet Cute !!" she wrote. "What an experience! Loved every single human involved with this special little gem of a of film.. would do it over and over and over again [sic]."

The movie is described as being a "wildly inventive deconstruction of the romantic comedy", and follows the idea of being able to travel through time and heal a prospective partner's past trauma and problems to create a perfect match.

Directed by Alex Lehmann and written by Noga Pnueli, Meet Cute was on the 2018 Black List, an annual survey of the most popular unproduced screenplays.

As well as playing Cassie Bowden in the popular The Flight Attendant, Cuoco is also, of course, probably best known for her role as Penny Hofstadter in The Big Bang Theory.

Davidson, meanwhile, recently appeared as Blackguard in The Suicide Squad and is a cast member on Saturday Night Live.

The Big Bang Theory aired on CBS in the US. You can buy the complete boxset now on DVD and Blu-ray.
