Crazy Rich Asians writer Adele Lim is set to make her directorial debut with a brand new comedy movie, Variety reports.
The currently untitled movie will see Lim team up with Emily in Paris star Ashley Park as the movie's lead.
Some of Lim's previous writing credits include the recent Disney animated movie Raya and the Last Dragon as well as multiple TV shows including Dynasty, Lethal Weapon, Life on Mars and One Tree Hill.

Park recently played the role of Mindy Chen in the Netflix series Emily in Paris. She also starred in the Peacock series Girls5eva as Ashley Gold. Park has been nominated for both Tony and Grammy awards throughout her career.
This R-rated comedy is set to follow the lives of four Asian American women as they travel through Asia together looking to find one of their birth mothers.

Throughout the movie, the ladies will bond and forge true friendships, through some wild partying and discover what it means to know who they are and love themselves in the process.

The script is being written by Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens co-creators Cherry Chevapravatdumrong and Teresa Hsiao, with Lim collaborating on the story.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are also joining the project as producers, with no release date being set yet.
