It's been just over a year since Jumanji: The Next Level made a whopping $800 million at the worldwide box office, so surely a fourth film should be in production already?

Well, it looks like another instalment is in the works, with star Kevin Hart saying it will "definitely" happen when everyone's post-pandemic schedules align.

"For us to recreate the Jumanji world and have that success, it's monumental," he told Collider. "You don't walk away from that. We have no interest in walking away. It's about the timing.

"Dwayne [Johnson], myself... I'm doing a movie with Jack Black right now, Borderlands. I'm in Budapest.

"We've all kind of taken on some other projects, so I think when things slow down for us and our commitments are out the way, we're definitely going to revisit another one because there's no reason not to.

"It's a family adventure. That's a box that, once again, if you can check correctly it's amazing. It's profitable. The household of all can go out and enjoy, but right now, my priorities are and the commitments that I've made."

He's not the only one in the Jumanji family to say another movie will be happening, with Jumanji producer Hiram Garcia recently confirming it to ComicBook.

"There's conversations have been going we're in the process of moving that along," Garcia explained. "I can't tell you anything, but we do have big plans for it and that's one of our favorite projects to work on and that's cooking away."

While we wait for more news on the sequel, you can watch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level on Amazon Prime Video.
