Former Glee star Kate Hudson has also recently joined Army of the Dead and Marvel's Dave Bautista, Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr, WandaVision's Kathryn Hahn, The Incredible Hulk's Edward Norton and Homecoming's Janelle Monáe in the Knives Out sequel for Netflix.

It means Bautista, who famously clashed with James Bond as Blofeld's henchman Mr Hinx in Spectre, will be appearing alongside Daniel Craig once again.

The site also reveals that Norton, who is best known for roles in the likes of Fight Club and Birdman, is joining the project too, with production starting this summer in Greece.

Writer and director Rian Johnson has previously confirmed that Craig's Detective Benoit Blanc will encounter brand new characters in his next case – meaning Chris Evans won't be back to swear at the investigator.

Bautista adds Knives Out 2 to an already impressive CV that has included playing Drax in the MCU, and starring in huge Hollywood films like Blade Runner 2049 and the upcoming Dune.

The actor also recently spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about having to choose Zack Snyder's zombie movie Army of the Dead over reuniting with Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn in The Suicide Squad.

"James Gunn wrote a role for me in The Suicide Squad, which I was all fired up about, not only because he was making a huge comeback. He's come back with The Suicide Squad and was rehired by Marvel, and has really been vindicated as far as that whole thing went," he explained.

"I was all up for it, and then I got Army of the Dead, which was not only a lead role for me, but also I really wanted to work with Zack Snyder. I've been wanting to work with him for years."

There's no release date yet for Knives Out 2 on Netflix.
