Zack Snyder has revealed Man of Steel has a Doomsday Easter Egg you may have missed.
The director has been treating DC fans to various coronavirus lockdown watch parties of his films, and following the announcement of the release of his Justice League cut and a cutting commentary of the Batman v Superman fan backlash, Snyder loaded up Man of Steel.
The 2013 movie starred Henry Cavill as the caped crusader who fought beings from his own planet in order to save Earth.

And Snyder used his Vero watch party to reveal an Easter Egg that foreshadows Doomsday's rampage in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice during an early scene on Krypton – like most fans, you probably missed it.
Snyder pointed out the scene in question features the broken moon of Krypton, which in his mind was previously destroyed by Doomsday.
It's not an idea supported by the comics, but it does foreshadow the monster's existence in the DC movies before he even appeared.
The Easter Egg also sets up Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice quite nicely, where a Doomsday mutant is created by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) using the Codex.
So, it seems Snyder put a lot of effort into setting up Doomday's backstory.

The monster can also been seen in the now-cancelled DC TV spin-off Krypton.
In fact, one of the episodes sees Doomsday apparently killed following the shattering of one of Krypton's two moons– could the Worlds of DC film and TV universes be more closely linked than we thought?
