Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Morbius are the latest movies to have their release dates pushed back as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

On Monday (March 30), Sony announced that the release of Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters sequel had been moved from July 10, 2020 to March 5, 2021, while the Jared Leto-led Morbius had shifted from July 31, 2020 to March 19, 2021.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which stars Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard and Ant-Man's Paul Rudd, is a direct sequel to the original Ghostbusters movies that will also feature appearances from iconic cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver.

The new follow-up will have nothing to do with Paul Feig's all-female reboot of the franchise.

Morbius, which will see Leto star as the biochemist-turned-vampire, is a Venom spin-off with a major connection to Tom Holland's Spider-Man and the MCU.
