Terminator star Linda Hamilton is not optimistic or all that interested in playing Sarah Connor ever again.
Hamilton was coaxed back to the franchise after 25 years by James Cameron for last year's Terminator: Dark Fate, which flopped at the box office in spite of decent reviews.
Though director Tim Miller originally planned Dark Fate as the start of a new trilogy, he has since admitted it is unlikely Paramount Pictures will move forward.

If Terminator really has been shelved, the news might come as a relief to Hamilton, since she has confessed to The Hollywood Reporter that she is no longer interested in big-budget movies.
"Something says to me… I don't know. I would really appreciate maybe a smaller version where so many millions are not at stake," she explained. "Today's audience is just so unpredictable.
"I can't tell you how many laymen just go, 'Well, people don't go to the movies anymore'. That's not Hollywood analysis; that just comes out of almost everybody's mouth. It should definitely not be such a high-risk financial venture, but I would be quite happy to never return. So, no, I am not hopeful because I would really love to be done."
Still, Hamilton isn't ready to completely close the door on Terminator, adding: "If there were something new that really spoke to me, I am a logical person, and I will always consider viable changes."
Hamilton was apparently key to making such "viable changes" to Dark Fate in helping to recraft a scene while on set to make it more authentic for Sarah Connor.
