There isn't long to wait now until we can finally experience the much-anticipated latest instalment set in the X-Men film universe, following years of lengthy delays.
The New Mutants, which stars Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, Stranger Things star Charlie Heaton, Split and Glass actress Anya Taylor-Joy, The Originals' Blu Hunt and 13 Reasons Why actor Henry Zaga as teenagers with unique powers, promises to bring something new to the franchise.
And, speaking to Digital Spy and other press on a set visit in 2017 when the movie was shooting, actress Taylor-Joy, who plays sister of Colossus Illyana Rasputin / Magik, revealed that the film feels absolutely unique and unlike anything that has come before.

"I think this is unlike any tone I've seen before on film in the sense that you've got a lot of things playing where, of course, we're superheroes, but Josh (Boone) is treating us very much like people," she said.
"At the core of the story, you have all of these kids that are growing up so we're battling different things. It very much has the feel of a coming-of-age story and then you have the darkness that comes with that, moments of levity and then, of course, we all have powers. It's very unique."
Director Josh Boone has also spoken about the variations between the tone of his film and other X-Men movies, saying that it would be a "weird match" to put The New Mutants characters into another X-Men film because "the tone of ours is so different."

Despite the excitement of many fans surrounding the release of The New Mutants, actress Maisie Williams, who plays Scottish mutant Rahne Sinclair / Wolfsbane, told Digital Spy that she was worried fans didn't want her for the role.
"If people like you, then great, but you've still got to do a good job. And if people don't like you, then great, but you've still got to do a good job", she said. "From what I thought, people didn't really want me."
The New Mutants is released in the US on April 3 and in the UK on April 8.
