No Time to Die star Daniel Craig is officially hanging up his tuxedo.

The rumours of Craig leaving his role as James Bond have been swirling ever since he said he'd rather "slash [his] wrists" than sign up for another sequel in 2015. Ultimately, he did agree to one more movie.

But during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (January 21), the host asked directly if Craig is "done" with Bond after No Time to Die.

"Yes," he definitively answered, adding: "It's done."

Only this week, Craig opened up about why he'd struggled with the decision to even come back for No Time to Die after breaking his leg on 2015's Spectre.

"I had to question myself – was I physically capable of doing [another one] or did I want to do another one?" he admitted. "Because that phone call to your wife saying 'I've broken my leg' is not pleasant."

There have been some hints about what the future may hold for Craig once he leaves Bond behind him. It was reported earlier this month that a sequel to his critically-acclaimed comedy whodunit Knives Out is in the works.

Director Rian Johnson would bring back Craig's detective Benoit Blanc to solve an all-new mystery, likely with yet another star-studded cast.

No Time to Die, the 25th James Bond movie, has a UK release date of April 2, 2020, and opens in the US on April 10, 2020. All the previous Bond movies are available on DVD or Blu-ray.
