Of all the things you might expect in the excellent 1917, a nod to Fleabag's Hot Priest wouldn't be high on the list.
We're not talking about the fact that Andrew Scott is in the movie, but that his character Lieutenant Leslie gives a blessing to Schofield and Blake before they head out into no man's land.
It gave us serious flashbacks to the Hot Priest, so we had to ask co-writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns about it. "I know, I know. I was like, 'That could bring in the women, Sam'," she joked to Digital Spy.
Of course, it was never intentional, but it was filmed at the perfect time.
"The day Andrew Scott was on set was the day after the Hot Priest. And I could tell you, of course I was professional, but I was a bit like, 'Wow... wow'. And I think a few of the women – and some of the men – on set were also like, 'Wow'," Wilson-Cairns added.

"And only in that moment, I was like, 'Oh, the Hot Priest. The Hot Priest thing? Oh, no! The Catholic Hot Priest thing!'"
