Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean reboot looks to be back on track after hiring a new writer.
Back in February, it was reported that the film was in serious trouble after Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick left the project.
But now, it seems the reboot is ready to set sail again with Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin on board alongside veteran Pirates writer Ted Elliott to develop a new story (via The Hollywood Reporter).
When the film was first reported last year, it was unclear whether Johnny Depp would make a return as Jack Sparrow and there's still no word whether he's part of Disney's future plans.
Last October, previous writer in the series Stuart Beattie spoke about the idea of Depp not returning.
"I think he's had a great run," he said. "Obviously, he's made that character his own and it's become the character he's most famous for now.

"And kids all over the world love him as that character so I think it's been great for him, it's been great for us, so I'm just very, very happy about it."
And last December, Disney's film production chief Sean Bailey said that they wanted to "bring in a new energy and vitality" to the franchise.
We'll just have to watch this space, then.
