Terminator: Dark Fate's producer James Cameron has teased the possibility of more sequels following the release of the film's second official trailer earlier today.

As we already know, the upcoming reboot is set to bring back Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800, alongside Linda Hamilton as the iconic fighter Sarah Connor for the first time in 25 years.

Dark Fate is based on Cameron's classic 1991 sequel Judgment Day and the producer has now shared that he has further plans to make that into a three-film franchise.

"We spent several weeks breaking story and figuring out what type of story we wanted to tell, so we would have something to pitch Linda," Cameron told Deadline.

"We rolled up our sleeves and started to break out the story and when we got a handle on something we looked at it as a three-film arc, so there is a greater story there to be told.
