There's yet more bad news for Dark Phoenix – it's now officially the lowest-grossing X-Men film ever.
The movie was released in March and by June, looked set to lose more than $100 million, with its director Simon Kinberg already accepting blame for the box office failure.
With its cinematic release now over, X-Men: Dark Phoenix is officially the lowest grossing of the 12 current X-Men movies.

In total, X-Men: Dark Phoenix took $254.4 million at the global box office (via Box Office Mojo).
The figure falls $40 million short of the global box office total taken by the original X-Men movie, which was released in 2000, and means Dark Phoenix grossed the least out of all the X-Men films.
It follows the film also setting a box office record by garnering the lowest US box office opening of the series to date.
So, what went wrong?
Kinberg told previously told KCRW's Kim Masters: "It clearly is a movie that didn't connect with audiences that didn't see it.
"It didn't connect enough with audiences that did see it. So that's on me."
Oh perhaps it was the decision to change the film's ending, so it wouldn't ring too similar with that of another Marvel film?
Guess we'll never know...
