Midsommar's agonising ending may be too much for some audience members to bear – and it turns out one of the horror flick's very own stars couldn't get over it without the help of alcohol.
Jack Reynor – who stars alongside Florence Pugh in Ari Aster's new film about a couple who travel to a remote Swedish village for a festival – has revealed that he got "f***ing smashed" after leaving the set – and then got even more smashed.
“I basically went from [the set] to the airport and I got f***ing smashed,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “I said, ‘Send me on two flights home, don’t send me direct, I want to transfer, because I’m going to get even more f***ing hammered.”

He also revealed that the cast sat in stunned silence after their first viewing of the film, saying: “We watched it as a cast together in New York. We all laughed through the first two-thirds of the film, at all that gallows humour, and then for the final third of the film, all of us were silent.
"When the credits rolled, there was no ‘High-five! You did an amazing job! Oh my God, you’re so good in the film!’ It was just silence.
