Avengers: Endgame star Jeremy Renner has revealed that he wasn't quite aware of what was going on when shooting the opening scene of the movie.
Continuing on from the devastating end of Infinity War, the sequel opens with Hawkeye's family turning to dust before Clint Barton's eyes.
However, the star – who didn't appear in Infinity War – has revealed that due to the movies being shot back-to-back and him being kept in the dark about the plot, he was unaware of what was actually going on at the time of filming.
"When we did shoot that, we were shooting both movies back and forth," Renner said at Celebrity Fan Fest. "I remember shooting with my family, teaching my daughter how to shoot a bow and arrow, and I turn around and they're just gone.
"But I didn't know anything, I really didn't. I hadn't seen a whole lot of the movie. I didn't know what was happening in Infinity War, everyone was going to be dust. I didn't know that. So when I did the scene, I just thought, 'Where did they go?'
"I'd act as if they just disappeared, they just went away. They didn't tell me. So I was just running around like, 'Where's my family? What the heck happened?' You're watching it and you see dust flakes, and I'm like, 'Oh boy'."

Meanwhile, Endgame co-screenwriter Christopher Markus has revealed that the movie's deaths won't be reversible in 10 years' time.
"It's the nature of the MCU," he said. "It's not a place where you can reboot one and suddenly Iron Man is 15 years old and everyone else is still the same age.
"The characters have to pass out, and the universe has to still stand. So if you're going to take people off the board, they've got to go for real."
