Most of the time, Tom Holland reveals far too much about his movies, but sometimes he doesn't reveal enough. It's hard to believe, we know, but it's true.

Proving that there's no sweet spot for Spider-Man, Tom recently revealed that he went from dropping Avengers spoilers left, right, and centre to keeping the latest Far From Home trailer a total secret.

(Accidentally, of course.)

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live with the Far From Home cast, Tom admitted the reason he forgot to share the film's trailer: "Well, it's no secret that I'm not very good at Instagram."

Explaining how he had to enlist co-star Zendaya for tech support, Tom said: "I basically forgot to post the trailer. I woke up in the morning, we were supposed to post it at 6am, and I couldn't figure out why I was getting so many more followers...

"I was like, 'This is amazing', and then I start scrolling and I see the trailer and I panic. I was trying to download the trailer from my email and I couldn't, so I had to FaceTime [Zendaya]."

Fortunately for Tom, the Far From Home trailer managed to rack up over 100 million views in its first hour of going live – even without any help from our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.

In other Spidey-related news, Tom has warned fans that the upcoming Far From Home includes a scene that they're going to hate.

Teasing a divisive moment, the actor said: "There's a scene in this film where audiences will feel like they were punched in the face. Even filming it, I remember walking out and then watching it again on the monitors and asking Jon [Watts], 'Are you sure that's okay?'

"And he's like, 'No, it's not. People are going to hate this scene.'"
