Update: The countdown is still on to a new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer.

Tom Holland, who stars as your friendly neighbourhood superhero, had teased that something would be coming on Monday (March 25) – and while that something wasn't new footage, we have got some new posters to look at.

Now, to ponder why it looks like the London Eye might have moved...

Original story: The whole world may be counting down to the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, but Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has a different countdown in mind – and it could be hinting at another look at life beyond the Infinity Saga.

On Thursday (March 21), Holland left Marvel fans guessing when he sent out a tweet that teased something could be about to drop very soon.

"Monday morning..." he wrote.

And as we now know that Holland can actually keep a few Marvel secrets after all, he really could be hinting at anything – and it doesn't even have to be Marvel-related, if we're honest.

Still, as it's been more than two months since our first glimpse of Spider-Man: Far from Home now, it feels like just enough time has passed for the studio to share another look at what's in store for the Homecoming sequel.

The film's first trailer left us with a whole load of questions, like why does classic Spider-Man villain Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) suddenly seem like a good guy now, as well as whether Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr) Endgame fate really has been confirmed like we suspect it has.

Spider-Man: Far from Home will begin only minutes after the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, and will follow Peter Parker (Holland) and his classmates as they embark on a European trip, where Peter hopes to leave his Spider-Man persona behind for a bit.

But of course that doesn't happen in the MCU, so he'll soon be dragged into world-saving stuff, along with Mysterio, Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), among others.

Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei will all return as Michelle/MJ, Ned and Aunt May respectively too.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will swing into cinemas on July 5, 2019, while Avengers: Endgame is released in cinemas in the UK and US on April 26, 2019.
