Danny DeVito will reportedly accept a film award on behalf of Michael Douglas.
The comic actor, who starred with Douglas in Romancing The Stone and Jewel Of The Nile, plans to go to the Zurich Film Festival to take part in a tribute to the star.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, DeVito will receive the Golden Icon Award on behalf of the 65-year-old on October 3.
Douglas is thought to be undergoing chemotherapy for a throat tumour at the time of the Swiss event, after being diagnosed earlier this month.
