EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell is absolutely crushed this week, when his teenage son, Ben, is sentenced to a young offenders institution for assaulting Jordan Johnson.

Actor Steve McFadden (Phil) describes how the Mitchell clan is left feeling after the stunning news… “The last thing they’re expecting is a long stretch for Ben – so it’s a bit of a shock when it ends up being eight months,” he explains. “Phil is totally shocked, and so upset for his son.”
