We survived 2012. But the real apocalypse is coming this weekend (well, according to Ghostbusters 2).

So if you're single and wishing that the world would end on Valentine's Day, you're in luck.

During a scene in the 1989 sequel, Dr Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) interviews a psychic called Elaine (Chloe Webb) on his show The World of the Psychic.

She tells him that her "sources" predict the end of the world on February 14, 2016.

"Valentine's Day. Bummer," Venkman replies.

What to Read Next

Let's hope that Elaine's sources were wrong, or we'll never get to see Paul Feig's anticipated remake of Ghostbusters.

The new all-female team comprises Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, with Chris Hemsworth taking on the role of the receptionist originally played by Annie Potts.

The reboot will see Manhattan invaded by ghouls from history, led by Rowan (Neil Casey).

Ghostbusters hits cinemas July 15 in the UK and US.
