The Italian footballer made the comment on Twitter following England's 2-1 loss to Uruguay yesterday (June 19).
England are now relying on Italy to win both their remaining games in order to progress past the group stage of the World Cup.
Balotelli acknowledged this fact in his tweet:

The tweet has been retweeted more than 115,000 times and most fans have reacted positively, although some have criticised his remark.
Singer Rihanna also commented on the game, berating the performance of England's defence.
