The International Indian Film Academy Awards will be staged in Malaysia, organisers have announced.
Voting for this year's nominees started on March 13 ahead of the televised awards show in Kuala Lumpur later this year.
Speaking about the decision to hold the ceremony in KL, Tony Nagamaiah, general manager at Malaysia Major Events, stated: "We have a large Indian population and Malaysian community that along with audiences worldwide enjoy the magic of Indian movies."
Last year's awards were held in Tampa Bay and saw performances from Bollywood's biggest stars as well as John Travolta and Kevin Spacey.
Held annually by Wizcraft Entertainment. the IIFAs have previously been staged at locations including Yorkshire, Toronto, Macau, Singapore, Dubai and Bangkok.
Amitabh Bachchan served as the show's celebrity ambassador for a decade since the awards inception in 2000.
