Mallika Sherawat has said that she wants filmmakers to take her seriously as an actress.
The Bollywood star hopes that more doors will open for her after audiences see her new release Dirty Politics.
"I'm very much here and have not shifted to America," Sherawat told Hindustan Times.
"I am hoping this film will open doors for me and hope directors take me seriously and offer me performance-oriented roles."
The Murder star said that she hoped to star in a biopic film in the near future.
"Biopics are very challenging. I have not really thought about it but, if given a chance I would love to play Indira Gandhi," she said.
