Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth has confirmed that recent reports suggesting his father had been injured are not true.
The 30-year-old took to Twitter to quash stories that his father had been hurt.
"It's all rumours, my father is fine... there was no accident. Touchwood... Please RETWEET all," he shared.
A number of media outlets had earlier posted reports that the veteran star had been mobbed by fans in the north Indian town of Kanpur.
It had been said that an earring worth 500,000 rupees (£4,900) had been pulled out during the incident.
The actor - also the father of Shraddha Kapoor - is best known in Hindi cinema for playing villains, and has also made a name for himself in comic roles in more recent years.
