Dominic Purcell is to star in The CW's new superhero team-up series.
The untitled project - a spinoff from Arrow and The Flash - will see a group of heroes battling against a major DC Comics villain.
Purcell has now been confirmed by Deadline to be reprising his role as the menacing Heat Wave.
The actor previously appeared alongside his Prison Break co-star Wentworth Miller in The Flash episode 'Revenge of the Rogues'.
Miller will also appear in the new team-up series, alongside Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer / The Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance / Canary) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein / Firestorm).
Three more regular characters - two male and one female - will also appear in the show, though their identities are yet to be confirmed.
