Arrow producers aren't letting fellow DC Comics series Constantine's cancellation kill their hope for a crossover.

NBC officially axed Constantine earlier this year, in spite of calls from Arrow star Stephen Amell to give the show a second season.

Amell volunteered to cross over onto Constantine if it was picked up, and has now said that he still has his "fingers crossed" for some kind of team-up with Matt Ryan.

"We really want to do it," Arrow producer Wendy Mericle told IGN. "It's something we've been talking to DC about and it's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule.

"We're trying to work it out, but we don't know 100% if it's going to happen… but we're really optimistic and we would love to have him."

There have also been rumours that Arrow will eventually cross over with fellow DC series Supergirl, although those reports have been downplayed recently.
