The BBC Radio 2 DJ has emerged as the bookmakers' favourite to replace Jeremy Clarkson on the BBC Two show, should he leave permanently following his suspension yesterday (March 10).

In response to a Twitter user stating that they'd never watch Top Gear again if he took over, he said: "Don't worry your little self. Never going to happen. Calm down and carry on."
Clarkson was suspended after recently getting into a "fracas" with a Top Gear producer.
