With all the murdering and culling of characters in The Walking Dead, it's about time it filled up some of the holes and so three cast members have been promoted to series regulars.

Steven Ogg, Katelyn Nacon, and Pollyanna McIntosh will all have more prominent roles for season eight, which we're super excited about.

Nacon joined in the zombie apocalypse series back in season five as teenage Alexandria resident Enid, and will be seen a bit more during the upcoming season, according to Variety.

And with all the attention she's been receiving from Carl lately, we're pretty sure he'll be interested in that news.

McIntosh, who only joined as Jadis in season seven, will also be back as the leader of the junkyard scavengers in the next season.

And Steven Ogg's Simon is another name to be confirmed as returning. He first popped up in the sixth season and viewers saw a bit more of his character in season seven, but he'll be back as a regular from here on out.

After all, every Big Bad needs a second in command, right? So Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) having Simon around more often can only be a good thing. For Negan, at least.

Not so much for everyone else.

Season eight of The Walking Dead will air on AMC in the US and on FOX in the UK when it returns later this year.
