Keeping Faith was one of the breakout hit dramas in recent memory, alongside the colossally huge Bodyguard. It started off as a small BBC Wales drama that aired in English alongside a Welsh version, titled Un Bore Mercher, on S4C, but then it took off in popularity.
A second series of both the English and Welsh versions were officially confirmed back in April, and production has now officially begun – with the series set to air next year.
Starring Torchwood and A Very English Scandal actress Eve Myles, the second series will see her character, Faith Howells, attempting to put her life back together after her husband's disappearance.
"I'm thrilled that this brilliantly written drama found such a place in the audience's heart," said Eve, "and I'm so excited to be back in the beautiful west Wales landscape working with a terrifically creative and talented team – it's a joy."
She previously told Digital Spy how the role ended up stopping her from quitting acting altogether.
"I considered [quitting]. I'm the type of character who likes to be challenged, and I wasn't being challenged," Eve revealed. "Then this came through, and I thought, 'What bigger challenge would I have?'

She actually learned Welsh for the role, so we're glad they are carrying on in both languages. (You should totally watch both versions, by the way).
