The star, who has been a cast member since 2016, claimed that he had heard through other people that he had been kicked off the show in the since-deleted tweet.

"So I won't be going back to @mtvgeordieshore as I've been sacked according to a few people," he reportedly wrote.

One fan replied to him asking why people were not talking about the tweet in question, Marty writing back: "Yeh my f**king idiot agent keep deleting my tweets."

He also tweeted to another: "Yeh mate funny how every one else know before f**king me."

MTV declined to comment when contacted by Digital Spy.

However, a representative for Marty said: "MTV has final say on casting for each series. They don't tell the other cast members who is and who isn't coming back.

"It's very unlikely that some one who isn't even on Geordie Shore would know before Marty if his contract was being renewed."

This is not the first time that rumours about Marty being axed from Geordie Shore have surfaced.

Back in May, talked swirled that Marty and Scotty T had been axed mid-series after a few suggestive tweets, though this ended-up amounting to nothing in the end.

Aaron Chalmers recently hinted that he could be leaving the show as he is "getting older" and wants to pursue a career as an MMA fighter

Geordie Shore airs on MTV.
