Warning: This article contains potential spoilers about Game of Thrones season 8 that some readers may want to avoid.
What to Read Next
Game of Thrones' final season is going full steam ahead with production at the moment, having just wrapped up potentially its biggest ever battle.
Now another intriguing bit of info has emerged, suggesting that part of the action could return to one of season 7's key locations – the dragonpit.
If you remember, the season finale gave us our first ever scene in the mythical amphitheatre as all of the main players – including Jon Snow, Cersei and Daenerys – came together to discuss the threat of the White Walkers.
However, new images have emerged that appear to show filming resuming at the Roman ruins of Italica in Seville, Spain, where last year's scenes were filmed.
The pictures appear to be taken by Twitter users Dani Lanos and va stark, and seem to show the crew setting up for the shoot.
It is unknown what sort of scenes are actually being filmed, though Winter is Coming reports that shooting will last nearly a month, suggesting a big action sequence may be underway.
Maybe a big dragon face-off between Drogon and Viserion is looming? However heartbreaking it may be, it IS the final season – we're expecting more than a few emotional moments.
As for how the series will end, Gendry actor Joe Dempsie recently teased that it will not fit any of the fan theories doing the rounds.
"I'm sure [showrunners] David and Dan don't pay too much attention to people's theories and speculation there is all over the internet, but it would be a bit of an anti-climax if a well popularised theory turned out to be the way it ended," he said.
"There's many pitfalls and I think they really have achieved that with this. It's an ending I don't think many people will be expecting and I think, on reflection, people will really, really enjoy."
Game of Thrones season 8 will air on HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
