Netflix is believed to be developing a Marvel spinoff series based around Jon Bernthal's the Punisher.
Bernthal's version of Frank Castle will first be seen in Daredevil season 2, available on Netflix from Friday, March 18.
But TV Line reports that early responses to the character are so strong that Netflix is on the verge of giving the Marvel vigilante his own series.
The first batch of Daredevil season two pictures recently arrived with a first look at newbies Punisher and Elektra.
The second run will apparently explore Matt Murdock's idea of "what it is to be a hero".
