American Horror Story: Apocalypse is bringing back another key character from its first run for the epic crossover season. Well, it's only right – he is the Antichrist's dad, after all.

Yep, that's right, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has shared a first look at Evan Peters reprising his role as Tate Langdon – angsty teen, serial killer and ghost, who happens to be dad to Michael Langdon, now all-grown-up and being played by Cody Fern.

"Tate," Murphy captioned the photo. "Happy to be home."

And that's not all the teaser-y goodness we got today either, as Madison Montgomery also returned and is looking for revenge in American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

Murphy also unveiled a new on-set photo teasing the resurrection of Emma Roberts's snarky mean girl from Coven trawling the backyard for bones, as you can see below:

Madison will be brought back from beyond the grave for Apocalypse along with a few of the other members of the coven as their Supreme Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) leads in the ultimate battle against evil.

What to Read Next

Cordelia must truly be desperate for allies if she has to resort to resurrecting Madison, who showed herself to be deceitful, vengeful and backstabbing in the original Coven season.

Earlier this month, Ryan Murphy offered a prior glimpse of Roberts behind the scenes reuniting with Coven co-stars Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, the legendary Stevie Nicks and Taissa Farmiga. Have a look below:

Both Taissa Farmiga and Sarah Paulson are crucial to Apocalypse because they connect Coven and Murder House by reprising their roles from both seasons.

Taissa will also be potentially reuniting with her Murder House on-screen parents Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton, while Paulson reprises that season's spiritual medium Billie Dean Howard in addition to playing new character Venable.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse debuts on Sunday, September 12 at 10pm ET on FX in the US, while it premieres on Thursday, September 27 in the UK. Catch up on series 1-6 on Netflix, with season 7 available to buy on Amazon Prime Video.
