Hollyoaks is lining up a surprising new crush for Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) as he begins to bond with Harley Frater (Mollie Lambert) next week – and we think you can see where this is going.
With Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) starting to bond with her and Tom's daughter Steph, next week will see Harley grow increasingly jealous of Tom and Peri's connection, leaving her convinced that Tom still has a crush on Peri.
While Peri and Harley are currently in a relationship, tensions continue to rise between the girls after Harley admits she's jealous of Peri's relationship with Tom and the attention she's been giving her daughter Steph.
After Peri learns that Harley is failing school and wants to drop out, she enlists Tom's help, leading him to make a shocking discovery about Harley when she admits that she's struggling at school, and she's never learned how to read or write.
Tom comes up with a plan to help Harley by letting her join Steph's tutoring classes, but he later admits to Jack that there may be a bit of an ulterior motive for wanting to spend more time with Harley – he's got a crush on her.
Considering Tom and Peri's history and Harley's growing jealousy – not to mention her drawing the wrong conclusion that Tom fancies Peri – we can see this all getting very messy, very quickly.
